The book Peek a Baby is great done specialy for kids around the world. I would recommand it to everyone. The bracelet is too cute and we can't see but the letters it says JADE.

Plus a CD of Baby Einstein is great to listen too. I will but it on MP3 to bring to China. Again thanks for this wonderful gift.

Today my secret pal Heather, her mom Monica and her precious daughter came over to visit and bring my May and June Secret gifts. We had a really good time just visiting. Keira loved playing with my dogs and had a blast on Maizi's slides in the back yard. I got to show off Miazi's room to them all. Heather had so many gifts in her hands that my neighbors thought I was having a baby shower. We got some really great gifts from Heather including a really neat potty training playset that Keira demonstrated how to work everything, some wonderful bows Heather made, her mom made me an adorable bow holder and embroydered hat that says Maizi, a rattle doll, 2 great cookbooks, a huge 4 in one book, a bath set to pamper me, a fun hand-held Sudoko game, a mom ornament for our Christmas tree, and a really sweet summer tank top. Brian had not met them all until yesterday and all he could talk about was how cute Keira was. Heather, if you are reading this thank you so so much for coming to visit us and for the wonderful gifts.

Secret Pal Meeting and March-April Gifts

Yep our secret is out. A few weeks ago I had the privledge of meeting my secret pal and her 2 year old adopted daughter from Vietnam (not so secret anymore, but I won't let it out on this site because I would not want to ruin everyone else's surprise) Me and my secret pal were matched up on this junebugs site. After starting to find out a little about her I started to realize that she is actually a cousin of my friend Janna. Janna had been telling me for a couple of years about her cousin that adopted from Vietnam while waiting for her China adoption. Way to many things were similar and when I accidentally came upon her blog here and I was sure and so excited to let her know this connection. I am so glad I did because with her only living 20 min. away we can meet up from time to time for get togethers and when both our China babies come home we can do play dates. Today my secret pal and her dauhter came to my school fundraiser BBQ/Auction and we had a great time getting to know eachother. When I first saw her little girl all decked out in ladybug attire my heart just melted. My secret pal brought with her my April and May secret pal gifts. Secret pal if you are reading this you really outdid yourself and I can't wait to see Maizi in the beautiful easter dress. Thank you so very much! My husband Brain was a little bummed he was not able to meet them with me because he had to work. We are planning to get together again in May. As we were walking around my school I can't tell you how many people came up to us and asked if she was the baby I have been waiting for for so long. Some of my former studens families that I don't see all the time were sure it was. I just said as much as I would like to claim the little cutie it was not. I told them maybe next year. I look forward to my friendship with her and am very greatful to the person who matched us up with eachother. The march package was an Easter themed package. It had a georgeous Easter dress with a matching headband, little white gloves, frilly pink socks, and Easter Bunny, yummy chocloates, some great books and the sweetest ladybug card. The April package had a really soft pink fuzzy blanket, some great adoption books a cute little picture album, and an actual secret pal birthday card because she knew that thi week is my birthday. I put both packages together for the picture. As you can all see Maizi was really spoiled by her.

I really have a wonderful secret pals who gets Marili the most FABULOUS gifts!!!! She sent our sweet girl the cutest little outfit with matching shoes for Easter with a bunny purse to collect Easter eggs!!! How cute is that???!!!! She also sent Marili a beautiful book "Ton histoire d'amour" that I wanted to get for my daughter but did not find it in my area. This book will be treasured!!! And it's even more special since it came from you!!! I love the activity calender, the scrapbooking items, the frame and the ladybug pencil and watch too!!!

Dear Secret Pal,
What a nice surprise it was to recieve your package toady...a nice way to cheer up this cold, blah winter day!! The body suits with I love Mommy and Daddy on are soooo cute and the matching jeans are adorable!! I also really like the Valentine Book and the little Chinese girl finger puppet (I think that is what she is). I must admit though my absolute favorite thing is the I love Mommy shirt. It brought a tear to my eye... Thanks for including my husband...we opened the package together and when I opened the Mommy shirt he said laughing what about me, little did we know the next package we opened was the Daddy shirt!! I think you made his day!! Thanks again for your thoughtfulness....lets hope for lots of matches and a speed up in the next few months!!

Thank you so very much to Christie's secret pal. I got the Chinese New Year surprise today on the first day of the Chinese New Year from my secret pal. My husband came to my school today after school and brought with him my Feb. secret pal gift that came while he was at home. We opened right away and were in awe of all the great and unique things in your beatifully decorated box. Thank you so very much for the 2 very sweet cards, my favorite thing the picture colored by your daughter, the georgeous teal and lime Chinese dress ( I love those 2 colors together), the red envelope for lucky money that I will use as a demonsrtation in my Chinese New Year Unit I do in my classroom, the 2 asian inspired coloring books, a valentine book, a beautiful Chinese art print in a frame, the rice paper art piece, the mini hand painted panda jug, the chocolate ladybug that is to darn cute to ever eat, and the yummy Hershey Kisses. I really could not ask for a better secret pal and I am amazed to slowly find out how much we have in common.

My New Junebug Secret Pal: And What a Secret Pal She Is!

Last month when I got home from school I was so excited to see that my very first Junebug Secret Pal gift had arrived. The package it came in was so adorable with stickers and all. I tore into it as quick as I could, not even waiting for my husband as I usually do. I was so amazed at the sweet gifts for Maizi. I was even more shocked when I read the note inside and it said that you were excited to get my name because you had grown up in this area somewhere, and even stranger had relatives in you childhood who lived on my same street. Mind you this exchange is not a local exchange, it is for people all over the United States and Canada who are logged in the same time as me for our babies.This is just another example of the red thread saying, and as I sit here and write this I am still amazed. I thank you so very much for the greatest gifts: 2 beautiful outfits, a pair of the cutest pajamas (which I love), a 2008 calandar, and a sweet little book, and some yummy little Chinese mints, and ladybug choclates to cute to eat. Thank you so very much secret pal, you took a regular Monday into a great Monday. I can't wait to see Maizi in all the outfits. I am already looking forward to the next package.
